Yes, this one

Awake.

Amazed at how many glorious turns a mind can make.

Dreamscape laying out how many processes and hard turns a mind can take.

Analyzing images and everything in between feeling limitless.

Rise from a warm bed, lifting a sore head off your pillow, last night was all time.

Drawn drapes revealing the landscape of a bluebird day; endless possibilities of snow play.

Coffee can’t be made fast enough. Put it in a thermos for the road.

Already late to make the parking lot by 830 anyway.

20 of fresh overnight.

Pull into your spot at the parking lot, staring at the sights like.

What a beautiful day to be alive, looking up at the blue sky.

A horizon filled with high fives.

Boots clattering in fresh snow; a powder thirst trying to get to the lift first.

Spring gifts shifts our thoughts from deep winter,

to us having to squint or adjust our goggle tint,

Clear to dark, as the sunshines.

No matter how late last night was, today will be all time.

24th chair but who’s counting. I’m here aren’t I?

The first carves of the early birds start carving.

Underneath a packed lift, eyes shift, hoping to catch somebody hit the cliff.

Someone does it, lands deep and rides away.

Powder thrown, as the first speed check takes aim.

Arms in the air; hollers from the chair claims todays fame.

Dismount; thank god I didn’t fall down hard.

Left/Right, it doesn’t matter, but I know where the goods are.

Strap in, double ratchet pull good luck stress test.

Adjust the goggles once, twice, three times feels best.

Pat the pockets, everything zipped so I skip the rest.

Bounce my tail, nose, tail, nose, and it’s on.

Three or four carves in you know it's gonna be great.

Head towards the trees, steeps and knee-deep powder sets the stage.

Crest the first drop and knee-deep turns to thigh level.

The mind turns off and focuses on the descent.

Wide turns turn skinny and tight.

Gloves drift lazily in the snow as the turns connect.

An unseen smile under face shield burns bright.

Distant shouts of powder enthusiasts exists through a white mist

sprayed from everybody clenching cold fists.

Leaning into carves spraying more powder

Yelling louder from the core

every turn feels better than before.

Arriving at the lift to do it all over again, see a friend.

Blue sky and powder here to stay,

Today was a good day.
