The Kootenay Coldsmoke Powder Fest was created to provide a grass-roots gathering where mountain enthusiasts of all levels can celebrate our local culture with a breathtaking backdrop on world-renowned snow. In addition to seasoned mountain veterans, this event draws “keen to be” telemarkers, backcountry skiers/snowboarders who want to give off-piste adventures a try, and those that want to socialize and enjoy the culture that the mountains instill.
