Whitewater Snowboard Freeride Team In The House!
The BC Snowboard Association Provincial finals were held at Big White Ski Resort on March 1 - 3, 2013. For Saturday?? Slopestyle, Taylor Pujos-Michel took second place and a silver medal in the female category for 14 years and under. Destin Beneteau-Nelson got a respectable top 10 finished in the 14 and under male category. Mateo K. and Johnny M. were the two youngest athletes at ages 9 and 10, and sure impressed everyone with grit and style.

On Sunday?? Boardercross, the weather proved to be a bit of a challenge, however, Taylor P-M. and Destin B. ended up in the semi-finals. Pretty good for kids on freestyle boards!
Overall, the trip was a success. Everyone stepped up to the plate and as Head Coach I am very pleased by the effort and enthusiasm shown by all our Team members.
This weekend the team was at Red Mountain for the Inaugural Rattlecat Banked Slalom. This race will be perfect preparation for the 16th Annual Neil Edgeworth Banked Slalom at Big White on April 5th-7th.
Another event that is up and coming is on Sunday March 24th and here at our very own resort. Come check out the team at the Whitewater Slopestyle presented by Tribute Boardshop. Fun guaranteed!
