Whitewater hosts Slopes for Hope Ski-A-Thon!

This Saturday, March 1st, Whitewater Ski Resort will be hosting Slopes for Hope, an "Everest-style" ski-a-thon; individuals and teams of 2-4 attempt to ski/snowboard the vertical of Mt. Everest in one day at Whitewater. Better get an early start! Individuals and teams can come up with names, wear costumes, and challenge their friends to add a bit more excitement. This event is a fund raiser for the Canadian Cancer Society, and is put together entirely by volunteers. The Slopes for Hope ski-a-thon is a great way to enjoy one of your favorite sports, and be helping toward a greater goal.

The idea of the day is to collect donations (pledges) in the weeks leading up to the event. Each chairlift has a different amount of vertical, and you keep track of your runs (we assist you with that). Hopefully, by the end of the day, you will have reached the top of Everest! * *Vertical of Mount Everest 8,848 m (29,029ft)

There are prizes for the following categories (thanks to our generous Sponsors!):Teams will compete for:
