What a GLORYous Day!

It is a very Merry Christmas for Nelson, BC with the opening of the Glory Chair happening this morning at 11:00am. The winner of the Glory Ridge First Chair raffle was there with, well, pink on to take in her Glory. Marley and her 2 lucky friends were all smiles as they loaded chair #001 for the very first time. Over $2500 was raised to support the Whitewater Ski Team, the Avalanche Awareness Beyond the Boundaries, and the Nelson Food Cupboard so thank you to all that participated in the raffle! Today was not only a historical moment for Whitewater Ski Resort but also a milestone for its future. After 7 months of hard work and long hours, the Whitewater team saw today the outcome of all their efforts. Next time you see one of them give them a high five for pulling off an incredible feat! And this is just the beginning.... The chair will be officially opening for the season December 26, Boxing Day, as the Silver King chair will be the only one spinning tomorrow for Christmas. Make sure to be there to experience Whitewater in a whole new way. I know that I will be bound for Glory in the new year!Merry Christmas everyone!
