The two-fer
Yesterday, driving up to WW, I knew it was going to be a good one. As we drove into the car park Ymir peak stood as clear as crystal, in all it glory. It was a blue bird day. In the morning my Glory ridge lines had me feeling like I was at a cat ski operation minus the overheads and ordinary lunch. Before midday, I skipped to the summit-side just in time to find Catch Basin open with only four tracks in it. Today, I came back for more, with the family. Now, you be might thinking that today could not have been possibly as good as yesterday, right? Wrong. The thing is, it was just different. The air was calm and relaxed, the faces were all lifers (locals), the fresh tracks on the corduroy were superb and off the corduroy the bumps were soft. To top it off the sun burnt through the clouds to smile on us again, just in time to finish the perfect weekend - two for two.
