The Selkirks Rule

I had the opportunity to dive deep into the Selkirks this winter. From the mountains north of Kaslo, to deep to the west behind Nakusp, sure I still only scratched the surface, but I gained a further affinity for just how detailed, vast and rad this range truly is. Throw on incredible snow, steep trees, and alpine features of huge scope and diversity, and you've got a skier's dream. Below is one of my favorite images of the winter. Look closely and you can see every type of skiing imaginable, from steep fluted faces, to Alaska-like alpine flutes, steep glades, cliffs, the works. All covered in a few meters of the Kootenay Gold.
