Summit Opens Tomorrow!

After a great opening last weekend with the Silver King Lift we are all set for the Summit Lift to open tomorrow. The skiing around the resort is great and we are expecting some more snow tonight and tomorrow, just in time for full-time operational hours. Avalanche Canada is calling the hazard moderate in the alpine. Even though the hazard is moderate our snowpack is complex at the moment with some instabilities found in the mid to lower snow pack that consist of multiple crusts and facets. We don’t have much trust in these layers and as we receive more snow we should all be keeping a close eye on this problem.
