Ski Town Throwdown!

It is that time of year again, time to start throwing down the Ski Town votes! Yesterday was the official start of Powder Magazine's 2nd Ski Town Throwdown and Whitewater wanted to start it off by saying THANKS for all of your support last year to make Nelson/Rossland the very first ski communities to take the title of the Best Ski Town in North America! Below is a little video, by Steve Ogle and Nelson Kootenay Lake Tourism, that was created to celebrate the win last season.The voting for Whitewater starts today and there have been some changes in the format. The first one is that Whitewater/Nelson now stands alone in the competition instead of paired with Red Mountain/Rossland. We wish the best to our 2012/2013 winning partner Red Mountain on their run against Kimberley, BC! The second change, and very important one, is that the voting only runs for 24 hours! That's right! We only have one day to rally enough votes against Big White to move into the next round of the Spread Eagle Division. So, what does this REALLY all mean? It means that the choice is YOURS: we need YOUR support, just as we did last year, if we are going to first make it past Big White, then through to the rest of the Spread Eagle Division, to move into the Elite Eight, and on and on. YOU decide if we should once again claim the title, this time alone, as the Best Ski Town in North America.
