Reconnect with What is Truly Important.
Do you know that feeling of being in nature, on a mountain or in a forest, when you just stop and appreciate where you are? The quiet, the sound of birds, or that quiet softness of snow falling through the trees? This usually makes me want to just close my eyes for a moment, and inhale. You know, breathe it all in and really appreciate my surroundings. When this happens, we often realize that it has been far too long since we have had the opportunity to reconnect with nature. We are so often bombarded by the business of our lives and jobs, that it seems hard to disconnect from technology and the pressures of society as often as we may like.We are lucky to have this place where we are surrounded by an amazing natural playground. When I have this moment of appreciation I am not only thinking about the sweet powder turns that await me at Whitewater, but relishing the fact that I won't hear phones ringing, nor will I think about to-do list even once! I look forward to leaving it all behind to join my friends and play in the mountains, if only for a day.
Call it the Winter Vibe, call it whatever you want. To us, it's a time and a place to reconnect with what is really important. How do you reconnect?
