Nelson Engulfed By Nature, Surrounded by Beauty.
It goes without saying that winter is undoubtedly our favorite of the four distinct seasons that we are privileged to experience in our part of the world. Without autumn we wouldn't have our blessed winter months and without spring, we wouldn't be nearly as excited about the dog days of summer. The change from summer to fall is bittersweet, and is becoming more and more apparent as each day brings us closer to winter, closer to the Early Bird deadline for season passes, closer to our long-awaited ski and snowboard
season. Whitewater Ski Resort and the surrounding areas become filled with vibrant autumn colors that have tagged our town as one of the Top 10 places for leaf peeping in Canada. Fall bridges the gap between summer and winter, and seems to be a time when people reflect on the natural energy, enchanting feeling, and appreciation of the environmental changes that these shoulder seasons bring to our lives. The cool weather leads to the first snowfall of the year and even though we spend the summer waiting for it, it still seems to sneak up on us unexpectedly. This captivating video recognizes the beauty of the four seasons, while capturing the essence of the healthy, active, mountain lifestyle that so many of us embrace. This video entices new visitors to see what the Kootenays are all about, and has locals bursting with pride. Take a moment to experience all four seasons, and allow yourself to feel the thrill of anticipation for powder-filled adventures.
