March is off to a big start but things are spicy out there
Another big storm cycle is upon us with 60+ cms in the last 5 days and close to another 50cms forecasted by Saturday. All of this new snow is making for some great skiing and also higher avalanche hazard in the backcountry. Slightly warmer temperatures and moderate to strong Southwest winds are also loading start zones. This will put close to a meter of snow on the Feb 24th surface hoar/sun crust layer which is still reactive. We are now into the last month of operations here at Whitewater and March looks like it will be going out like a Lion - so come on out and enjoy the goods!!
