It's go time!
It’s finally here! The mountain is alive and the perpetual flow of excited pre-season glowing faces, busily working to prepare the mountain for opening, hums like a well-oiled machine and is like blood pulsing through its veins. If our Instagram account was the Titanic and tags were icebergs, it would barely have drifted from the dock before plunging into the dark depths to the bottom of Kootenay Lake, with the bombardment of hits from the last week.
This Friday is stacking up to be colossal. After La Nina brought us a week of cold, below average temps, the snow will begin to fall once again come Thursday night, just in time to smother us with a reset for Opening Day. Sitting with a settled snowpack of 159cm at the Summit weather plot, she’s deep. But as always, take care at those lower elevations where the snow has not been as plentiful. Summit, Silverking and Hummer Handle tow will be spinning at a reduced rate with 20% off lift tickets.
Our ‘Pre-Season Pass’ sale will end at midnight on the 8th and our season passes will switch over to full season rates as of the 9th. Do yourself a favour and save some money by purchasing ahead of opening. This season will be worth it!
In the excitement of the road being paved to just above the first bridge, let’s not forget it can get slick out there, despite the new asphalt. So buckle up, slow down and take er’ easy coming down.
Lastly, if you fortuitously missed out on Teton Gravity Research's premiere for the new film 'TIGHT LOOSE' last week, don't despair! Watch the Whitewater segment for yourself and get stoked
