Cold Smokin' Good
1. Get up early. I mean early. First chair is your friend and on a day like yesterday the further up the line you are the better. 2. Ski single. Yeah, yeah no friends on a powder day and all that. But if you ski single you make new friends on the chair and if you hit it right you can pair up with someone at the front of the line. 3. Be in the right place at the right time. Time your lunch and skiing around the masses. So eat an early lunch or a late one and ski while everyone else is lining up for fries. 4. Carry calories to keep your energy up or stop by the Fresh Tracks Cafe at Glory for a quick snack. 5. Stop counting. After all does it really matter how many runs you get in? Will there be more snow tomorrow, the day after and next month? Heck yeah, have you seen the forecast? Here's a shot of first chair yesterday. Don't be put off by the crowd, the atmosphere was calm and social, it was Whitewater after all.
