Go!Young Snowboarders - Fun entry level eventSunday February 17thCanada~Snowboard Riders program provides opportunities for the champions of tomorrow to get introduced to the sport of competitive snowboarding in a fun and practical way.The Whitewater C-S Riders event will be a Slopestyle held in the Wh2o terrain park at the top of the Silver King chair. The event has coaching from trained and certified coaches. The features on the course are designed to facilitate the development of the ABC fundamental snowboard skills: Agility, Balance, and Coordination of jumping and turning.Canada~Snowboard Riders is a skill development program. It is a fun competition program for participants from 0-3 years of riding age, usually 14 and under (but can be adapted to suit the needs of the athletes). The program is based on the Learn to Ride stage of the Snowboard Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) Model.A day of C-S Rider event includes:8am to 9am Registration Upstairs in the bar Main Lodge9am to 12pm Coaching Meet outside Main Lodge by Silver King Chair12pm to 1pm Lunch Break (not supervised)1pm to 3pm Fun competition Wh2o Terrain park3:30pm Awards Upstairs cafeteria Main Lodge All participants are required to be a Basic Member of BC Snowboard Association.Entry Fee: $20.00 for Provincial members; $30.00 for non-Provincial members.
