Banked slalom
One thing is certain- you're not going to slide off the road on your way down from the hill these days. I'd call them proper snowbanks- the ones you can't ascend without an ice axe, nor can you park beside them because of cornice failure. They're a gnarly fixture of the canyon-like Whitewater access road and a reminder that it's still winter up there- big time. It's been epic skiing out there lately- wet and wild- and I'm sure everyone is enjoying themselves. Just remember to taker easy on your last run of the day: the drive home. Although you can't really go too wrong these days with those hefty snowbanks on your side. SO
