A Great Spring Break On Big Boards
Today and yesterday at Whitewater was fun because I got to hang out with my dad for Spring Break! But what was the most fun was the two different kinds of skis I got to try. Tuesday I rented some skis from the Whitewater rental shop. Mark and Jason got me some Rossignol 74 Auto Carves. They had a bit of rocker tip and tail. They were better than my other old skis that my dad's friend found in the middle of the forest last summer. The Rossignols turned great, even in not very good snow. Wednesday, Kirk let me take his son Kaleb's old skis out. They were rockers too. The snow today was deep and powdery and I loved it. Early in the day the sun was shining on a chute up high and it looked beautiful. The cornices on the mountain looked like an eagle's beak. With the new skis I skied better than I've ever skied before. I skied The Blast, Nugget, Concentrator, Silver Ledge, Jack Pot and for my first time ever ?? Terra Ratta. My dad tried to take me to Sproulers but he got lost. I had a humoungous crash on Gold Pan. We're going up again tomorrow and we're going to try and get first chair. And I'm going to have a blast on the BLAST! The awesome end.
