A Fresh Look for the Next 50 Years
We’re excited to share that we’ve refreshed our name to Whitewater Mountain Resort. It’s a small change that reflects something bigger: we’re no longer just a ski resort. From soul turns in winter to wildflower trails and summer campouts, Whitewater has grown into a destination for all seasons.
But don’t worry, we’re still us.
Still Pure. Still Simple. Still real… Deep.
Still yours.

Why the Change?
The name Whitewater Mountain Resort better reflects who we are today. It captures the full mountain experience we now offer throughout the year. It also speaks more inclusively to our passionate snowboard community, from little muckers just starting out to seasoned riders who bring the stoke and represent at events like the Jr Freeride Open, Ymir Wiggle, and more.
You might notice our logo looks a little different. The blues have been updated (yep, they're not quite the same blue), we have some fresh four-season colours to play with, and we’ve cleaned up details like the spacing and alignment on the “W” logo that, honestly, only our marketing director was losing sleep over. With this, we have refined our image while preserving the essence of Whitewater. Think of it as a little glow up to celebrate our milestone birthday!

Celebrating 50 Years of Homegrown Stoke
This rebrand comes as we head into our 50th anniversary season: a celebration of five decades of powder mornings, legendary Whitewater food, running into friends at the Day Lodge, and memories that last a lifetime. It's a chance to recognize the passion and love this community has poured into the mountain over the years, shaping Whitewater into the soulful and iconic place it is today.
We’ve always done things our own way. No gimmicks. No mega-resort mentality. Just deep snow, great food, and a genuine connection to the people and place that make this mountain feel like home. That part will never change.

Summer at the Mountain
What’s new? You can now stay and play in summer too!
With the opening of the Hummingbird Lodge & Campground in 2023, guests can now stay overnight in the boutique Hummingbird Lodge Suite or camp in the RV and Forest Campgrounds, all just steps from the trailheads.
At the heart of it all is the Hummingbird Lodge Café, licensed and serving up the Whitewater flavors you used to only be able to get during the winter season! The patio, overlooking Ymir Peak, is the perfect place for a morning coffee, a cold drink after a hike, or great live music from local artists every Sunday throughout the summer.
As the quickest and easiest access to the alpine from Nelson, Whitewater is your homebase for hiking, trail running meet-ups, art workshops, and events like the Raven Ridge Run. Come for the trails. Stay for the vibe.

The Heart Remains
As we grow into a four-season resort, our core values remain the same. We’re still independently and locally owned, community-focused, and committed to doing things the Whitewater way.
We’ve changed our name, but not our spirit.
Welcome to Whitewater Mountain Resort.
Your winter home. Your summer playground. Your mountain community.
