39cm of Fresh Untracked Bliss - Opening Day

Woke up this morning checked the snow report, read the magic number 39 (cm that is) and made the best decision of the season so far. Work could wait - the out of office sign went up and the ski boots went on. We had a 15 minute kick start this morning on Silver King side - first chair was at 8.45am. The groomers had done a spectacular job on the corduroy but it was the soft stuff that stole the show. We lapped until our early season thighs burned, carving fresh turns and hitting pillows.
